nanometer: | 1 billionth of a meter (1 x 10-9 meters) - this is the size of nano or ultra-fine particles used in some skin care and cosmetics (not to be confused with micro-particle sized ingredients). Nancy K. Brown does not use nano-particles in any of its products. |

nodule: | solid raised area on skin, usually round in shape, deeper and easier to feel than a papule. Appears to form below skin's surface and push upward. |
non-comedogenic: | will not cause the plugging or clogging of skin duct or pore. The products do not promote the formation of blackheads or whiteheads, do not promote breakouts. |
