What is Ultra Pure Crystalline Grade Glycolic?
The common grades of Glycolic available and used by the skin care industry are Industrial Grade, Analytical Grade, Cosmetic Grade and USP (Pharmaceutical) Grade - these are generally only 70% pure. There is a gold standard - Ultra Pure Crystalline Grade Glycolic - this grade is 100% pure and goes far beyond the industry standard of Pharmaceutical Grade. As an ingredient the 100% Ultra Pure Crystalline Grade Glycolic is more expensive than any of the other grades of Glycolic Acid available.

Although more expensive as an ingredient Nancy K. Brown Aloe Exfoliant^® only uses the gold standard - 100% Ultra Pure Crystalline Grade Glycolic. This ensures there are no impurities present. Impurities may cause irritation and reduce product effectiveness. Beginning with 100% Ultra Pure Crystalline Grade Glycolic also ensures that when blended with other ingredients - true percentages of glycolic are present.
