Zinc Oxide: compound of zinc and oxygen, derived from zinc ore. Used to protect, soothe and heal skin. Has mild anti-septic, anti-bacterial and anti-irritation properties. Also used as a mineral based physical, non-chemical sun protectant, to assists with broad spectrum - UVA and UVB - from sunlight. When applied to the skin, it scatters and reflects UV light away from the skin. Non-irritating, non-comedogenic.
